For me, treasure hunting has always been a family hobby. Growing up, my mother and grandmother loved to stroll the aisles of antique stores, thrift shops and flea markets and I grew to appreciate the beauty of items with patina and history. I also inherited a taste for "the hunt" and the excitement over finding unique things to wear and live with that are a little outside the ordinary.

As an adult I realized that, like interiors, personal style is elevated by mixing new and old and I became a lover and collector of vintage Levi’s, specifically the ones made in the US with the hallmarks of slow fashion and old school craftsmanship. I also realized that my hometown of Atlanta was lacking in curated, authentic vintage denim and I got curious about the sourcing process. That curiosity led to many adventures across the US - to more dusty basements and attics and barns than you would believe - and to the creation of Byrdelle Vintage. What began as a hunt for the best USA-made vintage Levi’s grew to include other categories of vintage clothes, jewelry and accessories with a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and Americana.
